hooked on phonics update. :)

As many of you know I have thought and thought about this program well I finally did it and bought it. I was getting click happy cause I got the spelling, and the toddler verison, as well as work books for the girls. LOL.. I am excited I looked at the program and I think it will work for us. We are going to do it everyday so it should be fun. We also have hooked on spanish I got for free with my swag bucks, If the phonics program works well and I see improvement I will be getting the Hooked on math it said for up to 5th grade. So that would work well for us for a few more years.
Why I went with the toddler verison instead of Your baby can read. Well here are a couple points.
1. NO TV time for hooked on phonics toddler verison
2.) no sight words and that is all that program is.
3.) Toddler verison does not teach them to read it is more of a bonding and instilling intrest and love for books and it comes with a parent book to help the parent. Cause after couldn't we all use a guide on what to do?
Thoes are some of the reasons I went with it. O yes maybe cause it was $20 to insteand of $200 plus
Baby Gate

Well I needed a gate for the kitchen cause between tyler and the Dogs I could not cook with out fear someone would get hurt. So I did not want to spend that much on a Gate. We have had EVERY type of gate they make. The walk through gates which you have to step over ( I have triped alot on that one).. Anyhow So you can get this for $20 at walmart (inculding taxes)

Which is not attached to the wall very well and ours broke with in a year and that was when they made it with metal hooks for the wall. So I took $20 and made this. For a higher quaitly you are going to pay atleast $50. This matches out house very well cause of the wood work that matches better with out the camera flash, flashing on it.

today in pictures cause I am to lazy to type

So nothing exciting today expect for Rocky eating the whole bucket of chicken from KFC.. :( O we got our letter from the car company stating that we actually do own the car. 2 years later. But hey now we can get a replacement title.

So the toy oven is done. Here it is.

the only think I am not fond of is the clock. But they hide my makers I bought just for the clock so I had to use somehting else and I was annoyed so it did not come out as good as it could have.

And we had mini rainbow pankcakes special thanks to tornadochaser who gave us the idea. We where having a bad day and these did brighten our day.

Anyhow I am tired I am happy the stove is done not sure what the next project is yet. Not sure ehat the total cost was on this I am to tired to think.

Hooked on Phonics?

Has anyone used this program? I am considering getting it for the girls and the hooked on math one to. I was wondering how the program works I do not want to spend that much money if it does not work. And of course you have to take into consideration that If I do not do it with them the program will not work.
